Familiar paths, old friends, an (unusual) historic campus, great talks, and new encounters. Plus, a band &#8222;whose audience puts on a better show than they do&#8220; &#8212; What a hoot!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>particularly enjoyed panel F12: Epistemological Tensions in the History of Machine Learning with presentations by William Lockett and Daniele Shlomit SofeR!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, the presentations I saw outside of that were also really exciting! however, the main focus was on the technical side. the connection to social, political, economic or epistemic dimensions could have been emphasized a bit more for my taste.
